Boot and Shoemaking Workshops

Our workshops are great fun and suitable for complete beginners.

It is truly satisfying have a pair of beautiful, unique shoes and be able to say "I made these myself!"

We have been running these short courses for many of years and they are popular with aspiring shoemakers or anyone who is interested in how to make a pair of our style of stitch down Green Shoes.

We give you all the support, tuition and materials you need to make a stylish, durable pair of boots or shoes from our range. Come and try your hand at shoemaking.

You experience the whole process of making a pair of shoes from having your feet measured, choosing the design, the leather or vegan material. To then learning about and using our patterns and hand tools, as the shoe takes shape you use the sewing machines to put the upper together, we do the final attaching of the sole while you learn about lasts and how to last your shoes. So a full and busy but very satisfying day or days work.

On the one day shoemaking workshop you can make;  Any open sandal, Laurel Shoe, Heather Shoe, Willow Shoe, Vintage Bar Sandal, Field Boot, Vintage T-bar, Modbury Shoe, Vintage Buckle Boot, Prawle Mule, Salcombe or Branscombe Sandals.

On the two day bootmaking workshop you can make; Dartmoor Boot, Walking Boot,Tavistock Boot, Iris Calf or Knee High Boot, Inari Boot, Willow Boot or Pull-on Boots.

You can choose from most of our soling materials and any of our leathers or our vegan materials.
Once the shoes are lasted we do the final finishing and post them on to you after a few days.
